Booking is essential: Call Sue on 01278 662629 or email query@clavelshaybarn.co.uk

We will begin to piece together a ‘food story’.  Food photography is not only about the finished dish, but also the process, ingredients and lifestyle which surround it. You will be shown ideas how to shoot the raw ingredients through to capturing the preparation of the food and finally shooting and styling the finished dish.

You will be shown how the use of props and textures can bring an image to life and how to manipulate natural and artificial light.

There will be plenty of hands-on camera work, showing you techniques which will elevate your images.

Did you know that there are truffles growing wild in our native British woodlands? It’s absolutely true and they are delicious!

Why not come and taste them for yourself at our own truffle lunch and learn about them at the same time? Marion Dean will explain about her own unusual lifestyle, training truffle hounds at her farm here in Somerset and harvesting truffles for local landowners. She will bring plenty of truffles with her to illustrate her talk and allow for close up study of the aromatic kind.
