Somerset Chef Takeover


We have an exciting week coming up. Head Chef, Philip Verden, is taking a well deserved holiday this week and we have the wonderful Chef Jean- Paul De Ronne taking over the kitchen while he is away. A Belgian born, British bred passionate Chef, Consultant,and Recipe Creator with a flair for making new dishes feel like good old Classics, and old dishes feel like new.

Chef De Ronne has a rich background in all things culinary and injects fun and creativity in everything he does. He has a deep love for locally grown products in the South West and dedicates himself to the farm-to-table ideals of sourcing the finest local ingredients, knowing the farmers, and making lasting relationships.

We can't wait to taste his delicious creations!

When he is not working as a freelance chef at award-winning restaurants and pubs around the South West, delighting diners with his authentic dishes with a local twist, you can find him spinning candy floss on his Interactive Steampunk Victorian Handcart at private events in the South West, raising awareness of poverty in the UK, and spending quality time with his four beautiful children.
