It’s such a perfect day ……
Ollie & Estelle Saturday July 21st 2012
“To see Ollie & Estelle sublimely happy and laughing all day long, the sun shining, the family and friends all well-wishing, was just heaven on earth “ - Natalie
Ollie & Estelle live in Sydney, Australia and so all arrangements for the wedding were carried out by e-mail and a couple of visits over the past year. They were very clear in what they wanted for their wedding which is very helpful for us . Their brief – arrival drinks, a humanist outdoor ceremony on our lawn, Champagne, canapés, sit down meal in the marquee, cocktail bar , live music in the evening followed by a campfire, camping overnight … No problem.
Ollie & Estelle and friends decorated the marquee with flowers, ivy and amazing origami light shades which they made themselves. Music was to play a big part in the wedding as Ollie is a musician and lots of their friends are too, so a mass of instruments and PA equipment arrived in the marquee.
The weather had been a worry but I was sure it would be ok and Saturday dawned clear and bright. Groups of guests arrived clutching instruments and camping gear and we had a real happy festival feel about the place . When Dele Sosimi and the Afrobeat band arrived I knew we were in for something special! Dele loved the setting and after he had carried out the sound check he said "we are going to make this valley rock tonight"
