My heart sank when I heard the weather forecast for last weekend . Harriet had wanted an informal , outdoor wedding . Plan B may have to be put into operation. The day dawned and rained and rained only to ease off in the afternoon. It was only drizzling when the bride, groom and guests arrived but enough so they could not go outside in the garden as we had hoped.
Guests mingled in the restaurant with drinks and then made their way to the marquee for speeches before the meal ( an excellent idea – get it over with and then all the speakers can enjoy the meal) The marquee looked fabulous decked out in blue bunting and with lovely country flowers. Another superb hog roast from Rob & Guy with special desserts from Brad made everyone smile.
Harriet looked radiant and so happy , Ben looked the most relaxed I had ever seen him – a truly perfect couple. Harriet said it was “her dream wedding” - we enjoyed it too.
The marquee looking very lovely indeed!
Loved these little sunflower seedlings Harriet and Ben gave to all their guests.
Beautiful local flowers arranged by Harriet
Wonderful idea to use lovely wood pieces for the jars of flowers
