We are excited to open our doors to the new workshops at Clavelshay Barn, starting this September, and share our passion for good food that is fresh, seasonal, down-to-earth and delicious.
Together with like-minded local artisanal producers, chefs and others in the culinary field, we have created a series of community workshops where activities focus on how we grow, buy, cook and eat our foods. Our aim is to bring people together to experiment and discover locally sourced ingredients and explore the principles of sustainability. Most workshops are hands-on, allowing you to cook, taste and create good food with your own family and friends.
Starting with an Artisan Bread Making Workshop on Tuesday 18th September. This fantastic one day workshop will be taught by Roger and Sally Birt, professional artisanal bread makers and owners of the award winning Red Dog Bakery based in Devon. Roger and Sally will talk you through the bread making process, explaining each step along the way, demystifying the process thought by many to be a realm only for experienced artisans. The workshop is very hands-on and will encourage you to have fun at home experimenting with your bread. Clavelshay Barn will also be serving a scrumptious lunch, including our own homemade bread and local seasonal ingredients.
We will be adding new Good Food Workshops in the coming weeks, so check in often!
A taste of what's to come...
