This past Tuesday night, we held our 2nd Christmas Wreath Making Workshop at Clavelshay Barn (you can read all about our 1st one here). We had so much fun at the last one, we had to get our holiday craft on again this year.
The very lovely, amazingly talented local florist Lucy Gower from Sweet Cicely Flowers, brought along a wonderful array of natural items for us to use like pine cones, berries, dried oranges, feathers, branches, lovely local green foliage and more. And, under her expert guidance, we spent the night laughing, chatting and creating our very own uniquely crafted wreaths.
It was a truly marvellous time getting our hands covered in moss, our senses filled with the scents of the festive season - the wonderful smells of pine, apples, oranges, cinnamon etc. filled the air along with the delicious aromas from Sue’s amazing food feast which included mince pies, mulled wine and spice apple juice. The whole barn smelt merry and jolly! Making your own Christmas Wreath has a way of instantly transporting to the season of giving and sharing. Can't wait for Christmas!
Thank you so much to everyone that came along, all your wreaths turned out so beautiful! And, to Lucy, thank you for being such a wonderful teacher.
We are thinking about doing a 'How To Grow Your Own Cut-Flower Garden' Workshop with Lucy Gower next spring. If you are interested in coming along and want to register your interest, contact Nadine at firstname.lastname@example.org.
