Hog Roasts

Since November 2009 Clavelshay farm has been successfully rearing and finishing pigs for use within the restaurant. This enterprise has evolved into using this fantastic pork for hog roasts. This is ideal for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and parties, both on and off site.

The pigs are produced, where possible, on site. They are outdoor reared and fed on a natural non-intensive diet, allowing us to produce full flavour and tender pork. This enables us to select the ideal animal for each order based on the requirements of the customer.

Pig roasts are available from 40 to 150 people. The standard service includes traditional pig roast, served with apple sauce, stuffing and bread rolls. This can be extended to include a range of hot or cold sides orders, salads and potatoes, depending on your requirements and budgets.

Due to seasonal demands and individual customer requirements, we cannot guarantee that all meat will be home produced, however the aim is to produce as much as possible. When sourcing meat we will ensure that all pork is free range and locally produced.

Alternatives

If you love the relaxed and informal atmosphere of a hog roast, but would prefer something other than pork, then we can offer something special such as roast beef using only the best cuts for superb flavour including rib, rump and sirloin. Roast lamb or venison is also an option for a distinctive approach. We can also provide sophisticated barbeques to the usual high restaurant standard.

Party Tent 

8m by 10m party tent available to hire. 

The tent is an ideal shade from the mid summer sun or emergency shelter from the summer showers. Be it a mid afternoon cream tea, hog roast for your closest family and friends or night time disco venue for the wedding after party, this structure can accommodate you.

It is a simpler alternative to the drapes and frills of a full white marquee wedding and is ideal for a relaxed and informal event, comfortably seating 70 people.
