Local Produce

Wherever possible local produce is used, especially meat which is sourced from local farms by our butcher, Malcolm Pyne. At the moment we do not have beef from our own farm but use Ruby Red beef from Bob Hall at Fordgate, North Petherton .

Our son Rob is currently rearing saddleback x large white pigs with a view to using these in the restaurant "Rob's Hogs". This is Rob's first solo enterprise on the farm/restaurant - watch out for further details on box scheme and hog roasts for the summer.

Also look out for specials - lamb from James - exclusive Clavelshay Lamb - best seller a couple of Sundays ago when on the menu for the first time.

Meat:  P & B Pyne, North Petherton - Award Winning Best Butcher in Southern England 2007 and 2008 (who only sources from local farms)

Smoked Meat & Fish: Smoked here using our own Bradley smoker

Rabbits & Pigeon:  From our farm surrounding the restaurant

Fish: Phil Bowditch, Bath Place, Taunton (Rick Stein Food Hero)

Fruit & Vegetables: Carrotts Farm Shop, North Petherton : Clarkes Vegetables Taunton : Somerset Organic Link, Kingweston, Somerton

Eggs: From our own free-range Light Sussex & Maran hens (look out of the restaurant window and see them)

Ice cream: Made using only natural ingredients - Granny Gothards, Slough Court, Stoke St Gregory, Somerset (also some ice cream and sorbet made here)

Cheese, Cream, Butter: Coombe Farm, Crewkerne 

Olives, Habas Fritas: Olives et al, Dorchester

Bread: Made here daily

Soft Drinks: Luscombe Organics, Newton Abbot: Apple Juice – Temple Farm, Chedzoy, Bridgwater

Beer: Exmoor Ales & Cotleigh Brewery Wiveliscombe : Quantock Brewery, Wellington

Wine: Oliver & Bird Fine Wines, Wiveliscombe

Coffee and Tea: D J Miles, Porlock
