The Food
Somerset has some of the best produce in the country and the restaurant is committed to selecting the very best local growers and suppliers for its food. All dishes are made at Clavelshay Barn including ice-cream and sorbet. Bread is made daily and even the water on the table is from the farm’s own spring. There is a fully licensed bar and an interesting wine list.
The Clavelshay Barn kitchen is led by our highly experienced Head Chef, Guy Horley, who produces country cooking with a contemporary twist. The menu is deliberately small to ensure that all dishes can be prepared and cooked to order and the menu is changed each month to make best use of local seasonal produce. We are delighted to have been awarded a "Taste of the West" Silver Award in 2009, 2010 and again in 2011 for our use of local produce.
